In the first episode the first scene in Batman shows the Gotham City World's Fair. The fair footage was actually taken from the 1964 World's Fair that was held in Flushing Meadow in Queens, New York. The fair had a two year run; from October 1964 to October of 1965. The crew at Batman inserted stock footage for this episode.
It
was a huge event staged on more than 640 acres that attracted more then 51
million people and more than a billion dollars was invested.

Sadly the fair was not really a commercial success because of many factors and the site now is slowly fading away as the City of New York has slowly demolished most of the structures in the park.
