Olan Soule
In episode # 27 The Curse Of Tut, the TV reporter that gave the newscast was none other than Olan Soule.
Mr
Soule was no stranger at being behind the camera or microphone for
that matter. He started his career in radio and made the transition
to TV. His TV roles were
usually
the mild mannered doctor, salesman or the like. He appeared on TV
shows such as Dragnet, The Real McCoys, The Monkees, The Beverly
Hillbillies, The Munsters, Bewitched, The Addams Family, Rawhide,
Perry Mason, Wagon Train, The Twilight Zone, to name just a few.
He also appeared on many movies such as The Day The Earth Stood Still, North by Northwest, The Towering Inferno on and on and on.
As an interesting note, He was a small man but his voice was huge, when the creators of many cartoons needed a voice for the hero, Olan filled the bill. In the cartoon, The Adventures of Batman, He was Bruce Wayne aka Batman.
His last on screen role was on the series "Homicide" as a crime scene technician.
He passed away from lung cancer in Los Angeles
