Francine York - Lydia Lympet
In Episodes #29 The Bookworm Turns and #30 While Gotham City Burns, The Bookworms shapely evil assistant, Lydia Lympet was played by Francine York.
Francine
was born in a rural Minnesota town and her real last name was
Yerich. She did the typical teenager things. It is pretty easy to
believe that she also starred in all the school plays. At the age of
seventeen and a million miles from the bright lights and big cities,
Francine entered a beauty contest that would start the chain of
events that would make her a star. She became the runnerup in the
Miss Minesota contest and that opened the door to more modeling jobs.
She moved to the larger city of Minneapolis ( yes I know like Mary
Richards huh?) and due to larger modeling jobs she began to travel.
She ended up in San Francisco where she eventally became a showgirl
and that led straight to Hollywood. She was and is quite a beautiful
woman and she entered and won the Miss San Fransico Pagent. After a
stint at being an airline stewardess, she decided
acting was for her. While her acting was fine, here biggest problem
was her height which probably kept her from being cast opposite
shorter leading men.

She was cast in a number of TV commercials and in 1962 began to get some larger roles in the movies such as "Wild Ones on Wheels" (1962) and "Secret File: Hollywood "(1962) These two were typical B movies with a VERY limited budget. She was dicovered by Jerry Lewis and appeared in many of his movies, the first one being "It's Only Money" (1962). On the TV scene, she had appeared on such shows as "77 Sunset Strip (1963), Burke's Law (1964), "Hazel" (1964), The Smothers Brothers Show" (1965) Perry Mason" (1965) among others. She appeared with the King, Elvis Presley ( the real one, not the guy thats down at the VFW next week) in Tickle Me in 1965 and in 1966- BATMAN !
After Batman she went on to appear in number of TV shows - Gomer Pyle, USMC Lost in Space "The Colonists" (1967), "Ironside" (1967), "It Takes a Thief" (1968) "Green Acres"(1968) "The Wild Wild West" (1968) "I Dream of Jeannie " (1969) and Love, American Style" (1969).

She
did a ton of shows in the late 60's early 70's. She still does fan
conventions for Lost in Space and her more recent credits
include,"Mama's Family",
"Brothers", "Mr. Belvedere". "Matlock"
opposite Andy Griffith, and she recently Guest Starred in
"Beverly Hills 90210" and "Lois & Clark" (the
new Superman) and "Marilyn Is Alive" Starring as Marilyn Monroe.
