Marilyn Hanold

In
Episodes # 49 - The Devil's Fingers and #50 The Devils Ringers,
Liberace needed some backup, he called on A trio of babes to do his
bidding. The leader
of
the group was Marilyn Hanold as Doe , a former
Playboy playmate of the month for June of 1959. She didn't have a
huge list of credits ( on screen ) but was beautiful to say the
least. She had started an acting career before she appeared in
Playboy, appearing in The Sad Sack
in 1957 as " A sexy female" and in Space
Ship Sappy with The Three Stooges
also in 1957, She later appeared in The Brain That Wouldn't Die -
(1962) and her biggest claim to fame was the starring role in
Frankenstein
Meets The Space Monster as Princess
Marcuzan in 1965. This movie has been voted the worst movie ever made
in history. I figure if your going to be remembered for a bad movie-
at least it is the very worst ! :) The last screen credit I can find
on her is In Like Flint
(1967) as Amazon #8. This movie also featured Yvonne Craig as a
ballerina.

Well
thanks to a tip from Tom Davis, I found out what happened to
Marilyn. Her acting days were over in 1967 when she married oil
tycoon, Rulon Keaton Neilson. Mr Neilson was a founder and president
of Skyline Oil Company, a Salt
Lake-based
oil and gas exploration venture. After merging his company in 1977
into Texas Eastern Corporation Neilson Brothers Energy Company was
organized with his brother, Alfred J. Neilson. He
and Marilyn were active supporters of the cultural arts in Utah
including the Utah Symphony, The Utah Opera Company, Ballet West, and
the Pioneer Theater Company. Marilyn
has three daughters with Mr Neilson, sadly he passed away February
1, 1993 in Salt Lake City at the age of 83. Marilyn
still is very active in the arts and is prominent in the Salt Lake
City area at charities and gala events.
