In Episode # 119 " The Joker's Flying Saucer". Ellen Corby plays Mrs Green. She decides to inform the police about the flying saucer because of her civic duty.
Mrs Corby is best known for her role on " The Waltons" as Grand Ma Walton

Her career spanned back all the way to the 1930's when she appeared in bit parts and made her way up the ranks in the movie biz.
At
the time of appearing on Batman, she was not new to stage and
screen. She had over 100 Film and TV roles when she appeared in
Gotham City. There was a superhero connection - she appeared in "
Mr Terrific" in 1967 as Mrs.
Beamish - a show
designed after the popularity of Batman on CBS. It lasted one
season. After her appearance on Batman, three years later she would
headline as "Grandma
(Esther) Walton " with the rest of the Walton crew. She won
Three Emmys for her portrayal.
In 1976 while performing on The Waltons Series, Ellen suffered a debilitating stroke, that too was written into the show. She continued to act in the last years of the show and reunion specials even with her handicap of not being able to speak due to the stroke. In 1997 she appeared in A Walton Easter her last on screen appearance. Her health failing, she passed away April 18, 1999 at the age of 87.
