Joan
Collins - The Siren

I want to become the wickedest woman
in Gotham City and thus in the world.
The Siren, a woman who could put men under her spell by singing
a note 3 octaves above high C. She used men for her needs then had no problem
getting rid of them. In the series, the Siren was played by Joan Collins.

Joan Collins was born in London England in
May of 1933.
Thanks to her father, a theatrical booking agent, British actress Joan Collins
made her theatrical debut in a male role at age nine in a production of The Doll's
House. She owed her
Hollywood
debut to her torrid romance with Charlie Chaplin's son Sydney, managing to parlay
their relationship into an appearance as an Egyptian temptress in Land of the
Pharaohs (1955). A contract with 20th Century Fox followed.
Though she was bright and glamorous, Joan had a habit of picking projects like
Rally 'Round the Flag, Boys!
(1958)
and Can Heironymus Merkin . . .? (1969).When She appeared in the Batman series,
she was not as well known in the United States as
she was in England. She appeared in shows such as Star
Trek, Mission Impossible, and the man from U.N.C.L.E.
at about the same time as Batman. In the early Seventies, she was starring in
soft porn movies based on books written by her sister,
Jackie
Collins such as her role in the movie " The Stud " in 1978. In 1981,
Joan finally found the role for which she'll be remembered, the mean Alexis Carrington
on the prime-time TV soap Dynasty. Her last project was appearing in the TV show
"Pacific Palisades" in 1997.
She now resides in Aix-en-Provence, SE France, and is writing
books and novels with an occasional film appearance. She also has an apartment
in London.
